Ara Aivazyan and Rashid Meredov Discuss Urgent Issues Related to International and Regional Agenda

On April 1, within the framework of the meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council, Foreign Minister Ara Aivazyan held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

The foreign ministers addressed a wide range of issues related to the bilateral agenda. They emphasized the importance of strengthening intergovernmental relations that have a good tradition of cooperation and taking steps to uncover the existing potential.

In this context, the importance of conducting consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries and the willingness to make them regular was particularly highlighted.

As priority areas for cooperation, trade-economic, scientific-technical, and cultural-humanitarian sectors were emphasized. The sides highly appreciated the established mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries within international frameworks.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the agenda issues of the CIS. Urgent issues related to international and regional agendas were raised during the meeting. The preservation of historical monuments and cultural heritage, which are of significant importance for both peoples, was also emphasized.
