Uncertainty Over Armenian Ambassador in Israel's Return Amid Ongoing Conflict
The Armenian ambassador to Israel, Armen Smbatyan, is currently in Yerevan, as confirmed by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anna Naghdalyan, to Factinfo.
This development comes on the 5th day of hostilities unleashed by the Azerbaijani-Turkish tandem, during which it was revealed that the adversary is employing Israeli-manufactured UAVs against Armenia and continues to supply arms to Azerbaijan.
In response to the escalating situation, Armenia recalled its ambassador for consultations. “This approach is unacceptable for us. Given the current circumstances, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to recall the Armenian ambassador in Israel for consultations,” stated the spokesperson of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
When asked by the media, A. Naghdalyan indicated that the ambassador is still in Yerevan and could not specify when he would return to Israel.
