«We Cannot Get a Route Through Azerbaijani Territory While They Do Not Use Ours» - Nikol Pashinyan
“If in the post-war period we manage to achieve the opening of the railways, it means that we will have the opportunity to efficiently utilize our 21st-century second oil – copper,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a meeting with attendees during his visit to the Aragats community in the Armavir region.
According to him, in order for the aforementioned to happen, certain solutions and compromises must be reached. “You know that our railways, particularly those leading to Iran and Russia, pass through Azerbaijan. We need to understand here that it cannot happen that we receive a route through their territory while they do not receive one through ours. Yes, we need to make decisions here. We should mutually benefit from these routes. And in general, I think we need to change our perspectives on the region,” Pashinyan said.
