Why Yura Movsisyan's Aunt Was Arrested in Gyumri: Who is Behind It?

According to highly reliable information from 168.am, Amalya Adamyan, the long-serving head of the State Employment Agency in Shirak region, was arrested yesterday.

“According to our sources, Amalya Adamyan is the aunt of the famous football player, Yura Movsisyan, who plays for the Armenian national team and resides in the United States. Her husband has also been a coach for the Shirak football club for many years.

Along with Amalya Adamyan, six other employees of the agency were arrested as a result of operations carried out by the National Security Service (NSS) and the 6th department of the police.

This agency is well-known in the public sphere as an unemployment center, where registered individuals receive financial assistance in the form of benefits until they find work.

Persistent rumors have circulated in Gyumri that Amalya Adamyan's arrest is closely connected with Karen Sarukhanyan, a member of the ruling My Step faction in the National Assembly, as he wishes to appoint his cousin, Armen Sarukhanyan, as the director of a new structure being formed as part of optimization efforts from April 1, which will also include the State Employment Agency,” the media outlet writes.
