Gunshots Near Georgia's Opposition 'UNM' Party Headquarters
Today, 10 gunshots were fired at the headquarters of the opposition 'United National Movement' party, reports Aliq. An unidentified person shot at the part of the building where a photo of Nika Melia was displayed.
It is noteworthy that the party leader was arrested on February 23 and is currently held in the Rustavi penitentiary facility.
At the time of the incident, party representatives, security personnel, and staff responsible for the building's protection were present. Eyewitnesses state that the shots were fired from a white Toyota Camry. After firing 10 rounds, the vehicle fled in an unknown direction.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched a criminal case regarding the incident, under articles concerning damage to another's property and illegal acquisition and use of firearms.
