Meetings between Tsarukyan and Pashinyan will happen on one condition: Tsarukyan awaits Pashinyan’s response
Gagik Tsarukyan and Nikol Pashinyan's meeting has been delayed. According to certain information, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) is awaiting a response from Pashinyan, stating that the meeting will only take place on the condition that Pashinyan’s resignation will be announced afterwards along with a specific election date.
Although negotiations have led both sides to agree that, after Pashinyan's resignation, the BHK will not nominate a candidate for prime minister, the BHK leader has committed to making a public statement regarding this. However, Pashinyan is still weighing the decision to go to elections or not, and it is possible that he may postpone this yet again.
It is noteworthy that during a meeting with My Step party members last Sunday, he mentioned that they are preparing for elections but avoided discussing any deadlines. Despite this, the date for the elections is already being cited in power circles as the first week of June.
The Prime Minister briefly touched on the team’s concerns about how to campaign in this situation and what they would communicate, saying, 'We will speak about what we have always said.' He also hinted that everyone needs to work on their own initiatives. Furthermore, efforts will be made to form an opposition of their own, with Varuzdat Karapetyan set to open a party in the coming days.
