For over four years, the National Library of Spain has concealed the theft of a valuable treatise by Galileo Galilei, according to El Pais. The document in question is the Sidereus nuncius, an astronomical treatise published in 1610. The value of the document could be as much as 800,000 euros. It was stolen from the library in 2014, but library officials kept the fact of the theft a secret for more than four years.
