The Catholicos Sends a Message on March 8

His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, has sent a message on the occasion of March 8, which we present below:

“From the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, we bring our Apostolic blessings and warm wishes to women and girls on this festive occasion of March 8. The role of women is irreplaceable in strengthening families and educating our children with Christian values and national traditions. Women are the embodiment of selfless devotion, love, and tenderness in our lives.

In these very difficult post-war days, when our country continues to be shaken by internal and external challenges, we have confidence that our people will once again lead their way along the path of the cross to a victorious resurrection.

Dear mothers and sisters, our wish is for you to meet this day of honor with hope and comfort. We pray that the Lord grants the consolation of the Holy Spirit to our mothers and sisters who have passed through the heavy losses of war, and strengthens all our people to build a bright and prosperous life for our homeland with unwavering love.

May the Lord keep and preserve you all under His Most Gracious Holy Right Hand and grant you shining days of peace and happiness filled with countless blessings, as well as bright and glorious new achievements, today and always. Amen.”
