A 30m High Armenian Tricolor Flag Raised in Shurnukh
Today, a solemn ceremony was held in the village of Shurnukh, Syunik region, for the raising of the Armenian tricolor flag. Arush Arushanyan, the head of the Goris community, announced on his Facebook page that the flag will be flown at a height of 30 meters.
"The tallest flag in Armenia was first installed in Kapan, and the second will be raised in Shurnukh," wrote Arushanyan. He emphasized that the enemy, located just a few meters away from Shurnukh, should always feel that the Armenian people stand united and firmly alongside the border communities.
"In the name of the return of Armenian identity, we will continue to create and fight for our land, our culture, our values, and our faith," the community leader noted.
Cultural events are taking place in the area, with traditional food being offered by residents from all the communities of the enlarged municipality.
