‘My Step’ Today is Doing to Vardazaryan What Pashinyan Criticized the Republican Party for in 2015

For the third day, questions have been directed at the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Ruben Vardazaryan, in the National Assembly. This was stated by Taguhi Tovmasyan during an interview with ArmDaily.am.

She noted that the members of the ‘My Step’ faction have blamed the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council for all the world’s troubles. The independent MP emphasized that the questions directed to Vardazaryan and their phrasing reminded her of the campaign by the Republican Party against Karen Andreasyan in 2015, when Nikol Pashinyan was the only MP who defended then Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan.

Tovmasyan stated that, unfortunately, today Pashinyan’s team is doing the same thing that Pashinyan himself once criticized several years ago.

Taguhi Tovmasyan expressed her perplexity regarding the Prime Minister reaching the National Assembly and not responding to the members' questions, as the strictest security measures were taken in preparation for his arrival; however, he only answered one MP's question, while he simply did not respond to the questions from the LHK faction members.

As for discussions about forming a new party with independent MPs, Tovmasyan informed that they currently have no such intention and that no such discussions have taken place.
