Warning to Drivers: Snowfall on Certain Roads in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia has announced that there are closed roads within the country.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads leading from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and towards Lake Kary are closed.

The Dilijan serpentine roads and the Vardenyats Pass are closed for trucks with trailers, and are difficult to navigate for other vehicles.

In the Syunik and Vayots Dzor regions, as well as in the Woody region's Ashtarak and Amasia districts, and along the Vanadzor-Dilijan highway, there are sections with black ice.

Snow is falling in the Vayots Dzor, Lori, and Syunik regions, as well as in the town of Vardenis in the Gegharkunik region.
