VIDEO: Pashinyan Moved During Rally

«You must win. In the Republic of Armenia, no power should be victorious; there should be only one power—the people. So, long live freedom, long live the Republic of Armenia, long live us and our children, who will live in a free and happy Armenia, long live Artsakh, long live Armenians, long live our army, our heroic army, our soldiers, our heroic generals, our heroic officers, and our fallen comrades, their relatives, their mothers, fathers, women, and children.» This was stated by Nikol Pashinyan during a rally he held today in Republic Square.

«I bow before all of you, and if you can, forgive us for all our mistakes,» Pashinyan said and urged the gathered crowd to turn on the lights of their phones in memory of the fallen servicemen and officers. «May light descend upon your souls.»

Pashinyan also announced that he is ultimately ready for extraordinary elections. «You have brought me to the position of Prime Minister, and you alone can remove me from that position. And I sincerely want the people to have that opportunity, so that I am assured that you forgive me, forgive us, and I challenge the parliamentary opposition—let’s go for extraordinary elections.»
