Statement by Armen Sarkissian

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, wrote on his Instagram page: "It is undeniable that the armed forces must maintain neutrality in political matters. It is also evident that, due to the war, the personnel of the armed forces need our support and attention more than ever. Addressing the issues of the army and its personnel is a priority and cannot be overlooked in any circumstance. The current situation is unprecedented, requiring systemic and comprehensive solutions, and cannot be regulated through frequent personnel changes without considering the existing situation in the country."
