Pashinyan Brings Legislative Proposal to Institute Curfew in Armenia
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is bringing a legislative proposal to the National Assembly aimed at instituting a curfew in Armenia. This information was reported by Hraparak.
Currently, the "My Step" faction of the National Assembly has been convened, preparing to swiftly pass this proposal.
The curfew is a restriction associated with a state of military emergency, prohibiting individuals without the appropriate permit from being in public places during certain hours. Compliance with the prohibition will be monitored by special forces or police designated for this purpose.
This makes it clear why Pashinyan has not lifted the state of military emergency even four months after the end of the war; by instituting a curfew, he creates an opportunity for himself to disperse any protests or rallies.
