Developments in Armenia are Internal Affairs: Sergey Lavrov and Ara Ayvazyan Discuss Over Phone
The foreign ministers of Armenia and Russia, Sergey Lavrov and Ara Ayvazyan, have held a telephone conversation. This information was provided by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ayvazyan informed Lavrov about the recent developments in the country.
The Russian side emphasized that they consider this situation as an internal matter for Armenia and expressed hope that it would be resolved peacefully.
It is noteworthy that the Armenian Armed Forces issued a statement demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister and the government, while warning against using force against the people, whose children have died defending the Homeland and Artsakh.
Following this statement, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a post on his Facebook page, inviting his supporters to the Republic Square, while labeling the General Staff's announcement as a "coup attempt."
