Vardan Ghukasyan is Seeking a New Political Refuge
According to the newspaper "Iravunk", rumors circulating in parliamentary corridors suggest that Vardan Ghukasyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), has heard whispers indicating that Gagik Tsarukyan does not foresee him continuing in the ranks of the party's parliamentarians in the future. As a result, Ghukasyan is focusing on finding a new political refuge.
When asked where he envisions himself in the future, Ghukasyan hinted at the presidency under which he enjoyed his tenure as the mayor of Gyumri. Recently, in an interview with "Iravunk", he stated, "If elections were to be held on Sunday and Robert Kocharyan were to launch his candidacy, I would definitely support him..." Earlier, Ghukasyan was the only one among BHK parliamentarians who, back in 2019, had declared, "Freedom for Robert Kocharyan", but remained silent for a long time due to his political team. It seems that the situation in BHK has now changed.
