Shots Fired from Hunting Rifle During Wedding Ceremony

On February 23, shots were fired in the Gegharkunik region. In the evening, operational information was received by the Martuni division of the Police that shots were fired in the courtyard of the "Gohar" wedding hall located in the administrative territory of the village of Tsakqar.

According to shamshyan.com, the operational group of the Gegharkunik regional division of the police, led by the head Artur Mkrtchyan, and the operational group of the Martuni division, headed by Stepan Hakobyan, arrived at the scene. The police, following hot leads, found out that hours earlier, a wedding event had taken place at the mentioned wedding hall, during which participants, 27-year-old S. Sirakanyan and 29-year-old A. Yepryemyan, displayed blatant disrespect towards society by firing shots into the air with their hunting rifles.

They were apprehended, and a total of 5 fired cartridges were discovered at the scene.
