Lars Road Closed to All Vehicles Due to Snowdrift

According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed (due to a snowdrift) to all types of vehicles. There are approximately 600 freight trucks stuck on the Russian side.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
