"Kosh" Penitentiary Prevents Attempt to Smuggle Large Quantities of Contraband and Unique Drugs
On February 23 at approximately 14:50, employees of the "Kosh" correctional facility under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, acting on operational data, conducted a search of a refrigerator brought by a mother for her son, convict A. T.-P.
This information was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Armenian Ministry of Justice's Penitentiary Service.
During the inspection, a specially prepared hiding place was discovered at the back of the refrigerator, containing two rolls of skin adhesive allegedly soaked in drugs, packaged industrially (used for penetrating into the bloodstream through the skin), as well as eight mobile phones, four chargers, one battery, three headphones, one USB cable, and four SIM cards.
Materials are being prepared in connection with the incident, and a judicial chemical examination has been appointed.
