105 Pianos Acquired Through Pan-Armenian Fundraising to Be Installed at Tsitsernakaberd

In connection with the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the "Echo of the Century" foundation has initiated the "105 Pianos" project, which aims to install 105 pianos acquired through a pan-Armenian fundraising campaign at the top of Tsitsernakaberd in anticipation of the genocide anniversary. These pianos will play classical art compositions. This was announced by Hakob Karapetyan, spokesperson for the Yerevan City Hall, on his Facebook page.

"After the commemorative events conclude, the pianos will be donated to music schools in Armenia, including 10 of them to the Republic of Artsakh. The program had been postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic. Now, it is being implemented, and the program will kick off on March 2 at Charles Aznavour Square," Karapetyan stated.

The project initiated by the "Echo of the Century" charitable foundation is being realized with the participation of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Yerevan City Hall. Several well-known figures in the arts and culture have expressed their support for the program.

Note: After the events conclude, the pavilion visible in the image will, of course, be disassembled, and the chess beloved by children will return to its place," Karapetyan wrote.
