‘My foot got stuck between the asphalt and the step of the police car’: ARF member with a broken leg
On February 23, during a protest near the third building of the government, ARF member Razmik Arabyan sustained a leg injury while being detained. He is currently being discharged from Hospital No. 8. In a conversation with NEWS.am, he stated that his leg was severely damaged and he is unable to stand.
“I feel fine now. I’m just being discharged from the hospital. My leg is seriously injured; I can’t even put my foot on the ground, I can’t stand. In a few days, I will have to return to the hospital for them to check my leg,” he said.
He recounted that he was initially taken to a police station and then to the hospital. “Without any announcement, without informing me why I was being detained, they detained me very roughly. You can see in the videos, I was standing calmly when they approached me and forcibly took me away. Throughout, I kept asking why I was being detained, but all my questions went unanswered. They forcibly detained me, and when they tried to shove me into the police car, my left foot got stuck between the asphalt and the metallic step leading into the police vehicle,” Razmik Arabyan disclosed.
