All Polyclinics Equipped with Seasonal Flu Vaccine: Ministry of Health

As part of the epidemiological surveillance of influenza, laboratory studies of samples taken in February continue to detect rhinovirus, adenovirus, and influenza A subtype H3N2 viruses. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.

“In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the prevention of acute respiratory infections, including seasonal influenza, is particularly emphasized. The best and most effective measure is vaccination, which has been available and in use for dozens of years.”

The Ministry reminds that all polyclinics in the republic are equipped with seasonal flu vaccines, and all individuals in risk groups who have not yet received the seasonal flu vaccination can visit their registered polyclinic to get vaccinated.

Vaccinations are conducted on a voluntary basis, free of charge, within the framework of the state order, prioritizing high-risk groups, including pregnant women, children aged 6 months to 5 years, individuals aged 65 and older, people with diabetes, chronic respiratory, cardiovascular, liver, and kidney diseases, healthcare workers, military personnel, individuals in closed organizations, and staff providing services. Vaccination is also available for other population groups,” the statement said.
