The Arrest of These Individuals in This Manner Has Already Sparked Great Excitement in Azerbaijan - Arman Saghatelyan

I find it difficult to say whether the courts will maintain their high reputation or not, but in any case, I hope so, as unlike the law enforcement system, which has essentially turned into a repressive system, we periodically see quite adequate and reasonable solutions and behaviors in the judicial system. This was stated by Arman Saghatelyan, co-founder of Karyak Media, during a conversation with reporters regarding the arrest of former head of the National Assembly staff Ara Saghatelyan, noting that the judicial system is the institution that is currently trying to oppose political orders and cheap shows.

In response to the observation that the arrested individuals possess a high level of expertise and the question of whether it is coincidental that they are being targeted by the authorities, Saghatelyan said: “Here we need to move in two different directions. Of course, both Karen Bekaryan and Ara Saghatelyan are among the largest experts in our professional sphere and have years of experience and reputation. For a long time, these individuals have been the terror of Azerbaijani propaganda. Therefore, the arrest of these people in this manner has already sparked great excitement in Azerbaijan; they welcome this fact, and in this regard, we can imagine whose mill this waters, what waters they pour, and what message it sends or what it serves.”

He noted that this is a process of political pressure: “Being familiar with the releases that the bodies carrying this out are distributing, it is simply laughable. They are trying to silence, isolate, and perhaps label in this manner, attempting to carry out some processes of discrediting, including with their countless army of fake accounts.”

It should be noted that the court is examining the lawyer's complaint against the decision to arrest Ara Saghatelyan.
