Court Recognizes Narek Malyan's Arrest as Illegal; He is Released
Lilit T.
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by judge Vahe Misakyan, has just recognized the arrest of Narek Malyan, the leader of the VETO movement, as illegal.
It should be noted that earlier, Atanasyan had reported that Malyan was arrested under Article 226.2, part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (public calls for violence, public justification or glorification of violence).
As a reminder, yesterday a performance titled "The Execution of Ceausescu or Death to Traitors" was set to be staged by Malyan at Liberty Square, but he was arrested before it could take place.
