The pretrial hearing concerning the arrest of Ara Saghatelyan, the former head of the Armenian Parliament's staff, has concluded at the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court, presided over by Judge Armine Meliksetyan. The discussion was held regarding the defense's appeal against the arrest decision and the investigator’s motion to choose detention as a preventive measure. This was reported to NEWS.am by Saghatelyan's lawyer, Hakob Yenokyan.

He noted that the announcement of the judicial act's decision has not yet occurred.

It is noteworthy that the National Security Service has arrested Ara Saghatelyan, co-founder of “Kyaryak Media” Karen Bekaryan, Manager of the “International Center for the Development of Parliamentarism” NGO Mher Avagyan, and citizen Aram Sargsyan.
