Heart Yellow Pills Unavailable in Armenian Pharmacies for Several Months

The valerian tablets, popularly known as "heart yellow pills," have been unavailable in Armenian pharmacies for several months, completely sold out. These are the loose yellow tablets that were consistently imported from Belarus. The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" visited several pharmacies to inquire about the reasons behind the drug shortage.

It turns out that the valerian tablets have been wiped out from pharmacies post-war. According to pharmacy staff, currently, only a few pharmacies in Armenia have stock of these "yellow pills," and even then, they are of Russian production and quite expensive.

We have learned that the Russian-made valerian tablets are darker in color and cost 350 drams, whereas the previous lighter-colored valerian tablets had a price tag of 150-200 drams per bottle. Additionally, it should be noted that the green valerian pills, meant for use before bedtime, are also produced in Russia and are priced between 350-400 drams.
