Aliyev Surprised That Pashinyan Gave Up What He Gave Up, Tarasov Says

According to the newspaper "168 Hours", a sense is created that during the war, some external player promised something to Pashinyan, and under its influence, he canceled decisions, hoping for some secret weapon. This did not work out. The West did not work, and ultimately he found himself in the situation he found himself in, raising many questions.

Why was Shushi surrendered when there were resources to maintain it? Why did he refuse Putin's project when Aliyev only agreed to surrender 5 regions, and Shushi remained under the control of Nagorno-Karabakh?

In an interview with our correspondent, Russian political analyst Stanislav Tarasov stated that Aliyev was surprised that Pashinyan gave up what he gave up. According to Tarasov, this is a tragicomedy, a historical drama that requires thorough examination to understand what happened.

According to him, the RA authorities made serious military mistakes, the internal political struggle is intensifying, and they lost the legacy they had due to significant diplomatic failures, failing to stop the use of force scenario.

In Tarasov's opinion, it was also a strategic mistake to say that Azerbaijan cannot start a war without Russia's support, as he wanted to place all responsibility on Russia, while here the war started with Turkey's support without Russia's involvement, and Russia managed to maintain neutrality, then negotiate a trilateral statement, and deploy peacekeepers in the area.
