Members of Iran-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group to Visit Armenia
Recently, I had a telephone conversation with my colleague, Seyed Mahdi Farshadani, the head of the Iran-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group. This was announced on the Facebook page of the Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.
“In congratulating the Iranian people on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, I extended my best wishes. During the phone call, we discussed issues related to the further development and expansion of bilateral cooperation. I particularly emphasized the high level of relations based on the long-standing friendship and mutual trust and support established between Armenia and Iran, as well as the strong historical and cultural ties. In this regard, there was mutual recognition of the necessity to invigorate cooperation and organize reciprocal visits,” Hayrapetyan wrote.
Mr. Farshadani, valuing the diverse cooperation between Armenia and Iran and the promotion of the political agenda, announced plans to visit Armenia with a delegation soon to discuss in more detail the prospects for deepening cooperation.
