ICRC Representatives Visit Prisoners Held in Azerbaijan
Representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) office in Baku have visited military personnel and civilians captured in Azerbaijan.
The head of the communication programs of the ICRC delegation in Armenia, Zara Amatuni, stated to "Lurer" that they met with four individuals on February 1 and 2, including both military personnel and civilians. Amatuni emphasized that the focus of the visiting representatives is on the treatment of the prisoners.
The international organization does not publish the number or list of captives but assures that they regularly visit those whose captivity has been confirmed by Azerbaijani authorities. "The list refers to the data we have on our end, which we record and periodically review to understand if there is progress related to each case in our work. However, this list or any data we collect is a confidential process between us and the relevant authorities, and we do not disclose it to the public," Amatuni stated.
