‘They Say Poor Nikol Had No Choice; There Would Have Been a War Regardless’ - Vazgen Manukyan
‘Some people tell me, what could poor Nikol have done? The war was going to happen anyway, we would have lost,’ said Vazgen Manukyan, the prime ministerial candidate of the Homeland Salvation Movement, during a press briefing with journalists at Liberty Square. ‘I respond by saying that there are numerous pieces of evidence regarding what happened during the war and what could have been done to prevent it from starting. If we look back, the war ended, a ceasefire agreement was signed, but why was there another document signed afterwards, which allowed our troops to leave Kubatlu and Zangezour, leading to problems at the Syunik border? How do we explain that?’
