Demining Operations Planned in Several Settlements of Artsakh

The State Emergency Situations Service of Artsakh reports that today, during the day, demining teams are scheduled to carry out operations to neutralize weapons and ammunition discovered in the territory of Artsakh. The activities will take place in Stepanakert, Martakert, Martuni cities, and surrounding communities, as well as in the areas of Khanadzakh and Aygestan in the Askeran region.

As a result of the discovery, neutralization, or storage of unexploded and hazardous military munitions, the majority of Artsakh's settlements are currently safe. The rescue teams of the Emergency Situations Service, humanitarian mine clearance organizations operating in Artsakh, and Russian Ministry of Defense mine clearance specialists have now directed their engineering reconnaissance efforts not only in populated areas but also in forested, plain, and mountainous zones.

It should be noted that during military operations, long-range missiles, airstrike munitions, and cluster bombs, including those from the 'Smerch' system and 'Grad' installations, as well as mortars and other prohibited weapons, were used against civilian settlements.
