VIDEO: Yes, there is no demand for snap elections, there is a demand for Nikol's resignation. Sharamazanov
The roadmap, strategy, and program of the forces involved in the "Homeland Salvation Movement" have not changed. This was stated today, February 12, during a press conference by the spokesperson of the Republican Party of Armenia, Eduard Sharamazanov.
"This is a point-by-point program from yesterday: the resignation of the traitor Pashinyan, the formation of a temporary anti-crisis government, and snap elections in a year without Nikol Pashinyan as Prime Minister. There is nothing new here. What is new is that all those who think that there will be a 'Homeland Salvation Movement', whether there are 17 parties or not, I call this the second Artsakh movement; just as that was not a party struggle, neither is this a party struggle. It should be a broader nationwide uprising, and that will happen,” said Sharamazanov.
According to him, there is no agenda among any political force for holding snap elections under Nikol Pashinyan's leadership. "We have all clearly stated that he must go. I want to agree with 'My Step': Yes, there is no demand for snap elections, there is a demand for Nikol's resignation. Nikol must leave; you cannot pause during a collapse. In this situation, going for snap elections carries the danger of new shocks for Armenia, new problems, and new clashes. What can we do when a person enters 'Yerablur' with a police escort, with shields, and trampling over the mothers of martyrs? Therefore, our forces must concentrate, exert pressure to ensure this man leaves,” he added.
Regarding the statement of former President Robert Kocharyan that if this government organizes elections, they will participate and win, Sharamazanov said: "Mr. Kocharyan has expressed his opinion, and I have nothing to comment on that. But the main issue is that the opposition pole is unanimous that we must fight to free ourselves from this treacherous regime as soon as possible.”
