The Theater Institute Will Not Merge with the Pedagogical University

The Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema has denied rumors regarding its merger with the Pedagogical University. This was announced by the rector of the institute, Lilith Arzumanyan, on the official Facebook page of the Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema.

“I would like to inform you that the news about merging the Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema with the Pedagogical University, which was indeed up in the air and caused concern and protest among the students of our institution, is not true. Everything is calm at our university today, and classes are proceeding as usual,” the rector stated.

It is worth noting that rumors about the merger of the Theater Institute with the Pedagogical University had been circulating on the internet. To clarify the truth of the news, on February 11, students of the Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema organized a protest action at the university.
