Surens Eyriamjyan Plans to Resign from Mandate

Surens Eyriamjyan, the head of the "My Step" faction in the Yerevan Council, addressed his absences from council meetings during today’s session. He revealed that he has certain health issues, which have been the reason for his frequent absence.

"Due to this, I am again forced to be passive as a result of continuous processes. In the near future, I may not be present here. I ask you to understand this correctly and, using this opportunity, I apologize to our voters for having to leave my role halfway through. I also apologize for any unfinished or perhaps partially completed tasks," Eyriamjyan stated.

He expressed gratitude primarily to the Mayor for their cooperation during this period, as well as to his faction, opposition colleagues, and of course, the staff. "I cannot say exactly when it will happen, but I will likely be absent again in the upcoming sessions, and when the final decision to leave your ranks is made, I believe you will be informed," he added.
