No Materials Prepared Against Vahagn Melikyan, NSS Denies

The information that the National Security Service (NSS) is preparing materials against the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vahagn Melikyan, does not correspond to reality. This was stated in a recent conversation with Auroranews by the NSS Public Relations Department.

It should be recalled that the NSS was allegedly preparing materials against Vahagn Melikyan, claiming that based on factual data obtained during the investigation, it was found that Melikyan had appointed his candidates to various diplomatic positions in exchange for money, and had been involved in several corrupt transactions.

It was also mentioned that Melikyan organized leaks regarding various appointments and internal processes within Armenia's diplomatic corps. Additionally, it was reported that the leak of information regarding Makunts's appointment as the U.S. Ambassador was also orchestrated by Melikyan in order to prevent the appointment under public pressure and to push his own candidate through.
