Families of 50 Missing Soldiers Await Meeting with Defense Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan
During the third Artsakh war, the families of 50 servicemen who are considered missing have been registered and are awaiting a meeting with Armenia's Minister of Defense and Chief of General Staff Onik Gasparyan.
It should be recalled that on February 8, Defense Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan met with the relative of one missing soldier. After the meeting, Emil Sargsyan, the relative of a missing serviceman, reported that the minister had requested to compile a list of names of the relatives for a meeting today, February 12. However, the parents have not yet received any information regarding the meeting.
Although the parents have been registered, no invitation for the meeting has been issued. “I will try to contact the security personnel who is presenting the lists for the meeting. I have requested the minister to hold a meeting with all the parents so that they can ask their questions,” Emil Sargsyan told “Factinfo.” He had participated in the meeting on February 8, the results of which did not satisfy him, stating that practical steps are needed rather than just words.
