Arman Tatoyan Visits Soldier's Home as First Phase of Prosthetics Program Begins

The Human Rights Defender, Arman Tatoyan, today visited the Homeland Defender Rehabilitation Center. Accompanied by Yerevan State Medical University Rector Armen Muradyan and Rehabilitation Center Director Haikuhi Minasian, Tatoyan toured the facility to familiarize himself with ongoing work and future plans. He held discussions with service members benefiting from the center.

Armen Muradyan noted that, in addition to addressing health issues, the center is also tackling educational and employment concerns for soldiers. He emphasized that the first phase of the prosthetics program has already commenced at the Soldier's Home, where all service members with amputations of hands and feet will be provided with the best and most advanced prosthetics.

Haikuhi Minasian highlighted that specialists evaluate the functional condition of soldiers with hand amputations to ensure that the prosthetics meet each soldier's individual needs and capabilities. The Human Rights Defender commended the work being done and expressed his willingness to support the protection of the rights of soldiers with disabilities within his jurisdiction.
