29-Year-Old Passenger Dies After Major Accident in Shirak Province
On February 11, 29-year-old Alen Asatryan from Gyumri passed away at the "Gyumri" medical center. He had been hospitalized following a major car accident that occurred on February 9 in Shirak Province, according to Shamshyan.com.
On that day, around 14:10, 41-year-old Baregam Tigranyan, driving an "Opel" vehicle, veered off the road in the administrative area of the village of Lanjik along the Yerevan-Gyumri highway at the 89 km mark, collided with roadside stones, rolled over several times, and ended up in a field. Asatryan and another passenger, 29-year-old Mihran Stepanyan from Gyumri, were transported to the "Gyumri" medical center with injuries.
Earlier, the source reported that a serious traffic accident occurred in Shirak Province on February 9. At around 14:10, the "Opel" vehicle exited the roadway under yet unknown circumstances, rolling several times before ending up in a field.
