Use of Askeran Region's Existing Potential for Housing Displaced Residents, Says Artsakh President

The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, visited the center of the Askeran region yesterday, introducing the newly appointed head of the administration, Armen Ghahramanyan, to the administrative staff and community leaders. This information was provided by the press service of the President of the Republic of Artsakh.

The head of state expressed gratitude to the former head of the region's administration, Sasun Barsaghyan, who was absent from the meeting for valid reasons. He noted that despite his short term in office, Barsaghyan has managed to prove himself as a professional leader, earning the love and respect of the citizens.

“This change was due to Mr. Barsaghyan’s decision to resign at his own request. Highly appreciating his work, I want to wish Mr. Ghahramanyan success in his new role. Assuming a position during this crucial period for our homeland is a mission, and I am confident that through our united efforts, we will overcome all the internal and external challenges thrown at us,” said the President of Artsakh.

During the meeting, President Harutyunyan also addressed the current situation in the Republic and the socio-economic programs to be implemented in the region. The President emphasized that in dealing with the resettlement of displaced and homeless residents, the existing potential of the region must be utilized as much as possible, providing a number of new instructions in this direction.

Following this, the president answered questions from the attendees and discussed several proposals on the spot. The meeting was also attended by the Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, Vitali Balasanyan, and the Ministers of Urban Development and Territorial Administration, Aram Sargsyan and Hayk Khanumyan.
