Armen Sarkissian Sends Message to Rohani and Iran's Spiritual Leader

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

In the message, he stated: “I am confident that our friendly relations, based on centuries-old traditions, will continue to develop and strengthen in both political and economic spheres, overcoming all obstacles. Given the complex situation in the region, the relationship between Armenia and Iran has become more important than ever, and its rapid development is an imperative of the day.”

President Sarkissian wished Hassan Rouhani good health and all the best, and extended his wishes for peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Iran.

The President of Armenia also sent a congratulatory message to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Seyyed Ali Khamenei. The message included a statement that in the complex situation created in the world and particularly in our region, Armenia and Iran should consistently develop bilateral cooperation in various fields, with the guarantee of success being the friendship between our countries that has roots going back centuries.

Sarkissian expressed confidence that the deepening of political dialogue based on mutual respect for each other's religion and culture will greatly contribute to peace and stability in the region.
