Racist Statements Will Be Addressed in International Courts: Debate Between Minister and MP

Your portrayal of YSU as a unique institution of education, science, and culture approaches academic racism,” said Gevorg Gorgisyan, Secretary of the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction, during discussions on the draft law on 'Higher Education and Science'. This was addressed to Minister Vahram Dumanyan.

The Minister called on the MP to be correct and respectful in his expressions. “I do not need to be reminded of my position. I have not forgotten. I am not here as a representative of YSU. Racist evaluations will be pronounced in international courts. Please, frame all your questions in substantive terms. I am ready to discuss any complex issue on a professional level—without evaluations,” said Dumanyan.

It should be noted that the Government proposes to grant a special status to the Mother University. Minister Dumanyan noted that YSU is the locomotive of our higher education system.
