Ceasefire Violation Occurred, But Not Targeting Our Positions: Minister on Current Situation at the Contact Line Since December
No incidents have been recorded at the contact line between the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides from December until now. This was stated by Defense Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan during a question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly, responding to an inquiry from independent MP Taguhi Tovmasyan.
"Since December, we have not seen any fatalities at the contact line, with just one injury reported in Shushi. No incidents have been recorded. There has been a ceasefire violation, but it was not directed at our positions. They are firing into the air. We document all cases, and if it happens in the Nagorno-Karabakh area, we report it to the peacekeeping forces," said Harutyunyan.
The Defense Minister noted that he also raised the issue of these sporadic shots during a meeting with Commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.
