Bank Called, Demanded to Fulfill Deceased's Loan Obligation: Sergey Bagratyan

During a question and answer session today, Deputy Sergey Bagratyan revealed that he is personally aware of a situation where a bank called and demanded the loan obligations of a soldier who died during the war. “This is despite the fact that the state has not yet fulfilled its obligations towards the families of the deceased,” said Bagratyan, suggesting that the lists of the deceased be provided to the banking system to request that such families not be disturbed until appropriate solutions are found.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, around 20 measures have been implemented to assist the families of the deceased and missing, as well as the wounded, in fulfilling the state's obligations towards them. Grigoryan stated in the parliament that this is not a comprehensive list of measures but only urgent actions. Currently, the estimated total of expenses amounts to 15 billion drams.
