Armenian Side Transfers One Captive to Azerbaijan

The Armenian side has transferred one captive to Azerbaijan. According to reports from Armenpress, this was announced by Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“A further exchange of captives has taken place. As a result of the work done, one captive has been taken to Baku, and five have returned to Yerevan,” stated Muradov.

On the evening of November 9, a Russian peacekeeping aircraft landed in Yerevan, bringing five captives back from Baku.

According to a decree by the President of the Russian Federation dated November 10, 2020, Russian peacekeeping forces were deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh. The core of the contingent is formed by the 15th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Central Military District. The peacekeepers are commanded by Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.
