Storm in Istanbul Rips Off Roofs of Many Houses

A storm that surged in Istanbul on the evening of February 8 has torn off roofs from several dozen houses, uprooted trees, damaged vehicles, and caused two boats to sink in the Silivri region along the Marmara Sea due to the strong winds. This was reported by ermenihaber.am.

The storm has been particularly strong in the Istanbul districts of Beşiktaş, Sultangazi, Silivri, Gaziosmanpaşa, Bayrampaşa, Bağcılar, Beyoğlu, Esenler, and Umraniye.

Weather experts in Turkey are warning of stronger winds expected on February 9.
