In the occupied Armenian village of Avetaranots, Azerbaijanis have defaced the memorial of heroes fallen in the Great Patriotic War. The memorial is located within the territory of the St. Gayane Monastery complex.
It is worth noting that following the 2020 Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, the village of Avetaranots has been depopulated and come under Azerbaijani control.
