In Georgia, wearing masks in schools will become mandatory for some students. According to reports from Georgian media cited by Armenpress, Georgian Minister of Education and Science Mikheil Chkhenkeli has announced that students in the fifth grade and above will be required to wear masks on school premises.

"We have made a decision that wearing masks will be mandatory in all schools starting from the fifth grade. We will provide additional details to school administrators today, and they will then convey this information to parents," said Chkhenkeli.

In Georgia, the educational process will continue in person in classrooms starting from February 15. The number of COVID-19 infections in Georgia has surpassed 263,000, with 3,306 fatalities recorded.
