Blizzard in the Area Known as 'Meghru Sar': Ministry of Emergency Situations

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that there are closed roads within the territory of Armenia. The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers, but open for other vehicles.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads leading from the 'Amberd' high-mountain meteorological station to the Amberd fortress and to the K'ar' lake are closed.

There is a blizzard in the area known as 'Meghru Sar'.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. There are approximately 350 trucks stuck on the Russian side. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
