Winter Draft of 2021 Kicks Off in Artsakh

On February 8, the winter draft of 2021 for the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh has commenced, as reported by the Artsakh Defense Army.

In compliance with all safety regulations due to the risks posed by the pandemic, draftees are undergoing necessary medical examinations and subsequently, through a lottery system, select the military units where they will serve their military duties.

To ensure fairness and transparency in the army's generational change process, members of the draft commission are monitoring the event, and the entire lottery process is being recorded on video.

Officials and organizers of this nationwide event assure that all prerequisites are in place to carry out the first draft in the post-war period at a high level and to reinforce the army's units.
