State Propaganda Machine Works Best, Unfortunately, to the Detriment of Statehood: Julfalian
Former MP Arsen Julfalian wrote on his Facebook page: "In the post-war period, what is most surprising (to put it mildly) is the following question voiced by seemingly quite adequate people at first glance: Is it right to completely free ourselves from Artsakh and live in peace? 29,000 square kilometers is also enough to build a good state. How many uncultivated, uninhabited lands do we have? We will use them. Otherwise, we will suffer our whole lives...
It turns out that many have still not understood that having and maintaining a state/statehood is a very complex and labor-intensive endeavor, especially in our region. With the same mindset, we could also give up Syunik, Gegharkunik, Lori tomorrow, and so on, until we see what they will graciously leave us in the end, and whether they will graciously leave anything at all.
PS: The state propaganda machine works best, unfortunately, to the detriment of statehood."
